Event Info

When is 24SEVENS held?
It will be held on 15 and 16 May 2015. Please go to CITIES for dates in other countries.

Where will 24SEVENS be held?
It will be held at The Cage Sports Park @ Turf City (220 Turf Club Road Singapore 288001). Please go to CITIES for venues in other countries.

What time does 24SEVENS start and end? 
24SEVENS Singapore starts at 6pm and ends at 11pm on Friday 15 May 2015, and starts at 7am and ends at 8pm on Saturday 16 May 2015. Please see COMPETITION for the complete match schedule and ACTIVITIES for the festival programme.

How many categories are there?
There is one category only – Open (18 years to 39 years old).

Can women participate?
Yes, women are allowed to participate.

Are there prizes for winning 24SEVENS?
The winning teams in each category will receive a winners trophy, SGD$2,000 worth of cash and prizes, and an exclusive invitation to participate in the 24SEVENS International Cup (date and location to be confirmed) which will include flights and accommodation.

What do I get for participating in 24SEVENS?
Each participating team will receive a range of gifts from our sponsors.

Will there be a bag storage facility?
No, participants are advised to look after their personal belongings during the event.

What will happen if there’s bad weather?
This is a rain or shine event. However, the organisers may decide to suspend or delay the matches if there is torrential rain or lightning.

Registration

How much is the registration fee?
The registration fee is SGD$888 (about SGD$74 a player).

How do I make payment?
We accept payment through PayPal (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX).

Can I pay by cash or cheque?
No, we only accept payment through PayPal.

Are there any discounts?
There is an early bird discount (up to 19 April) of SGD$100 which will bring the registration fee down to SGD$788 (about SGD$66 a player).

When does registration end?
Registration ends on 9 May 2015.

How would I know if my registration is accepted?
You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration with your team login and password that you can login to TEAM CENTRAL with.

Do I need all my team members’ information during registration?
No, we only need a captain’s information to register the team. You can complete the rest of the team after registration through the LOGIN page before 8 May 2015.

How many players will we need to register?
Each team is required to have a minimum of seven (7) players up to a maximum of twelve (12) players.

Can we cancel our registration if we are unable to participate?
There will be no refunds for cancellations after registration.

Can we transfer our registration to another team?
Registration transfers are not allowed for teams. You may change the team and player profiles under TEAM CENTRAL.

Will there be a refund if the event is called off for example due to bad weather?
There will be no refunds of fees paid in the event of a cancellation due to conditions beyond the control of organisers including but not limited to bad weather or other conditions.

 

Match

How many players will we need to play?
A minimum of six (6) players must be present to start if not the game will be forfeited, and the opposing team will be awarded a default victory of 3-0.

How many matches will we play?
Each team will play a minimum of five (5) matches, two (2) on Friday and two (3) on Saturday during the round robin stage.

How long are the matches?
Each game will be eighteen (18) minutes long, consisting of two (2) halves of nine (9) minutes each.

Can I bring my family and friends if they are not playing?
Yes, we have a variety of activities lined up for them. Please go to ACTIVITIES to see our entire programme.

 

Charity Player Auction

Who is the beneficiary for 24SEVENS Singapore?
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) is the adopted charity for 24SEVENS Singapore. SPMF started in 2000 as a community project initiated by The Straits Times that provides pocket money to children from low-income families to help them through school. Visit www.spmf.org.sg for more details.

What is the charity player auction?
Registered teams can create an auction account online and bid for Singapore football legends to play for their team with proceeds going to SPMF.

How many players can I bid for?
Registered teams can bid for as many players as they want, however each team is only allowed to “sign” one (1) legend for their team.
